I love textile arts! I love the feel of a quilted fabric sandwich. I love the colors, and interesting ways they can be put together. I have sewn for years, dabbled in knitting (um, not happening), and crochet (managed a few items, but not for me). It seemed that yarn and I were not very good friends.
But in Fall of 2020, I became interested in weaving. Started small with a bead loom, and a homemade loom from a board and a couple combs. In Jan 2021, I purchased my first Rigid Heddle Loom. A 24 inch wide Kromski Harp Forte Rigid Heddle Loom in walnut stain. Then in 2022 I was given a Union Rug Loom built between 1917 and 1919 (best that we can identify the date). This loom was originally purchased by my husband's great Grandfather, and given to me by my husband's Aunt Jo. She always referred to the loom as "Grandpa", and I have kept that name.
I have now added 3 metal pot holder looms, 5 peg looms, an Inklette loom, and tablet cards that I have used on the Inklette and Rigid Heddle loom. Also in my collection is a small Navajo tapestry loom.
To date, I have woven scarves, tea towels, table toppers and fabric for a purse, rugs and placemats. I have woven with cotton, wool, and acrylic yarn and torn fabric. Yarn and I have become much better friends.

A few of the pot holders and hot handles that I have woven. Yes, I use the metal potholder loom you may have had as a child. I have both the 7" and 10" looms.
